Once the slip lease runs out, a pontoon does not get to wait around, and Statesville sees plenty of these calls each fall. The other kind is a sailboat headed to a dealer on trade, needing to arrive before the next batch comes in off the lake. Either way the boat still has value, it just needs a destination and a ride to get there.
My crew handles it with our own truck and trailer: we load it, haul it door to door, and any oversize paperwork is cleared before we leave. Mooresville and Troutman sit on the same route around the lake. A boat bought without its paperwork sorted can still be moved, details on the North Carolina boat transport page.
