When you browse the site we collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, requested URL, referrer) and privacy-safe analytics via Umami and Microsoft Clarity so we can see which pages help owners find our service.

How we use the information

• Reply to your quote or contact request and schedule the boat removal.
• Send appointment reminders or follow-ups related to the job you booked.
• Improve the site — which pages load slowly, which content is unclear, which locations we should cover more actively.
• Comply with legal obligations (tax, salvage documentation).

Third-party services

We use a small set of third-party tools to run the site. Each one has its own privacy policy:

• Cloudflare — delivers pages fast and blocks abusive traffic. May log IPs.
• Umami Analytics — self-hosted, no cookies, aggregated only.
• Microsoft Clarity — session recordings and heatmaps. IPs are anonymized. See Clarity policy.
• JobRoute CRM — receives the details you submit through our quote form so our crew can respond.

Cookies

The site uses only strictly-necessary cookies for basic functionality (form protection, page load). We do not use third-party advertising cookies. If you use the quote form, JobRoute may set its own cookies to prevent duplicate submissions.

Data retention

Quote requests are kept for up to 3 years so we can pull up the file if you need proof of pickup or an insurance claim. Analytics data is retained for 24 months in aggregate form.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal data we have on you, correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@boatremoval.net and we will respond within 30 days.

Do Not Track

We honor "Do Not Track" signals sent by your browser. When present, we skip analytics for that session.

Children

The site is intended for adults booking boat removal service. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

Illustrative content

Photos on our case-study pages ("jobs" section) are illustrative — they represent the type of situation described (a marina pull, a storm-damaged hull, an estate cleanout) but are not photographs of the specific job or client featured on the page. Boat models, license plates, faces, and specific settings shown are not tied to real customers. The stories describe the kind of work we do; the visuals are to help you picture the scenario.
