I've pulled sailboats out of Yuma County storage lots where the mast came down one fall and never went back up. Owners stopped sailing, kept paying slip fees year after year, and one day decided enough was enough. I've also hauled rigs from estates where nobody in the family sails, boats that came with a house purchase and sat on a trailer behind the garage for a decade. Some owners ran a listing, dropped the price twice, heard only lowball calls or silence, and decided to move on. The rigging and mast on a sailboat make it different from a powerboat, and that's part of what we account for when we show up.
We handle sailboat disposal start to finish across Fortuna Foothills, Buckshot, and El Prado Estates on the same trip. The crew comes out, assesses the rig and hull, brings the mast down if it's still up, secures everything, and tows the old sailboat out. We handle the title work and all the paperwork. If your registration is missing or the survey failed years ago and the sale fell through, that doesn't stop us. Missing paperwork doesn't stop the job. Details on how we break down the old boat and where it goes are on the Arizona sailboat disposal page.
