I see two situations a lot in Orange County. One: the mast came down in a fall storm five or six years back, and it never went back up. The rigging's still there, lines rotting, and the boat's been sitting in a slip or dry storage lot ever since, fees stacking every month. The other: someone inherited a house with a sailboat, or bought property that came with one already here. Nobody in the family sails. The survey failed years ago, the sale fell through, and now there's just a dead rig and a problem that won't go away.
We handle sailboat disposal from Rancho Santa Margarita through Trabuco Canyon and Coto de Caza. I bring a crew that knows how to get the mast down, rig everything off, and tow what's left out. Start to finish, we manage the whole job. Missing title, unclear ownership, storage lot paperwork tangled up. None of that stops us. Details on how we handle it are on the California sailboat disposal page.
