Hauling a cabin cruiser out of a Anaheim yard

This 26 ft Sea Ray 268 Sundancer had a soft transom and paint peeling off the bottom in sheets, sitting with no trailer under it. Someone had blocked it up on old timbers years back after pulling it from storage, and it just stayed put behind a property near the Orange line, close enough to Orange that we routed our flatbed through there to avoid the tighter residential streets in the middle of Anaheim. With no trailer, the cabin cruiser's full weight sat dead on the ground, so we couldn't just hook a hitch and roll it out. We brought a tilt-bed trailer and rigged straps low on the hull, then winched it up slow to keep the soft transom from tearing further under the load. Took most of a morning between the rigging and getting it clear of the timbers without dropping a corner. No title in the drawer, handled per the California page rules once we had it loaded. From there the Sundancer went straight to the processor, where the fiberglass hull got cut down for scrap and disposal. Crews cover all of Orange County: Santa Ana, Irvine, Huntington Beach, Garden Grove, Fullerton, Orange. I've had guys in Anaheim on a same-week pickup more times than I can count, usually a 26 ft Sea Ray that's been parked since the last trip out. A lot of these calls come right after someone pulls a boat out of seasonal storage and realizes it's not worth putting back in. We work around that timing.
