Selling a boat to a buyer four counties away sounded simple until it came time to move it, and nothing in the garage is built to tow a 24-foot bowrider that far. Two streets over, a sailboat is coming off a lift for the season, headed to a storage lot before the lake freezes over.
My crew handles the boat hauling with our own truck and trailer, tow it out and run it door to door, with Addison and Aurora on the same routes most weeks. Oversize paperwork is ours before the wheels turn. A boat bought without its paperwork sorted can still be moved, details on the Illinois boat transport page.
