New Trier, IL: 22 ft Larson Gone in One Morning

A 22 ft Larson 220 with a cuddy cabin was sitting in a Cook County yard, rainwater pooled above the deck drain and the fiberglass starting to show it. The trailer had gone flat on one side, which meant the boat was cocked and the whole rig needed to come out as dead weight. The owner had stopped using it years back, and it had become the kind of thing you stop seeing after a while until someone else points it out. We got the call on a Tuesday. Access was tight, the trailer wouldn't roll, and the boat couldn't be towed out without tipping. We brought a crane to lift the hull straight up and onto a flatbed, which took the pressure off the failed trailer and let us get it out clean. The whole job ran under two hours from arrival to loading. Once it was on the truck, we ran the Larson through our processor in the Chicago area. The fiberglass got sorted for recycling, the hardware pulled for salvage, and the rest went to the approved facility. The yard looked different when we left.
