A busted trailer axle is what finally got that Larson off the lake and onto our radar. It had been parked in the ramp lot through most of a season already, tags expired, while the owner dealt with a hospital stay that turned into a long recovery and a stack of bills that made boat repairs the last priority on the list. The ramp association was ready to have it towed off at the owner's expense if nobody moved it soon. The collapsed axle meant we couldn't just hook up and pull, the whole trailer leaned hard to one side, so we brought a second trailer and floated the Larson onto it directly off the ramp instead of trying to roll the original rig anywhere. Clean transfer, maybe thirty minutes in the water. The hull had blistered gelcoat below the waterline from sitting neglected so long, not worth restoring, so it's headed to a fiberglass recycler, and the ramp lot has one less problem sitting in it.
