The mast came down one fall after a rig failure, or the slip fees kept climbing while the boat sat idle, and one day the owner realized they'd spent more on storage than they ever spent on canvas and line. Second, there's the sailboat that came with the property. Someone inherited a lake house or bought land with a trailer sailer parked behind it, and now they're stuck with a boat they never wanted and have no idea how to move.
