I get calls from people in Matthews who bought a sailboat years ago and thought they'd use it. The mast came down one fall and never went back up. Storage fees at the marina kept climbing, the rigging corroded, and one day they realized the boat was costing them money to keep and nobody was buying it. I've also pulled sailboats from behind garages in Mecklenburg County, trailer sailers that moved in with a house purchase and never touched the water. A couple of owners inherited them. One had a failed survey that killed the sale. They all end up at the same place: stuck with an old sailboat nobody wants.
We handle sailboat disposal start to finish. The crew covers Matthews, Stallings, and Mint Hill on the same trip. We rig it down, load it, and tow it out. Title problems, missing paperwork, storage lot access issues, none of that stops the job. More details on how we handle it are on the sailboat disposal page.
