A boat purchased sight-unseen from a seller three states off still has to reach Fairfax somehow, and a 26-foot express cruiser bought this way last month sat at a dealer's lot for two extra weeks while the new owner tried to find anyone willing to bring it home. A sailboat deal closed the same way in the spring, a good price on a hull with no local pickup option anywhere close.
My crew handles the haul with our own truck and trailer, door to door, with Alexandria and Annandale on the same routes. Oversize paperwork is ours before the wheels turn. A boat bought without its paperwork sorted can still be moved. Details on the Virginia boat transport page.
