I've pulled sailboats out of Snohomish County yards where the mast came down one fall and never went back up, the owner moved on, and now it's just taking up space. I've hauled old sailboats out of storage lots where slip fees or dry storage costs finally outran any reason to keep the rig. Sometimes it's an estate, sometimes the boat came with a house purchase and nobody in the family sails. Sometimes the rigging failed a survey, the sale died, and the owner decided to move on instead of sinking money into repairs. That's most of the calls I get from Martha Lake.
We handle sailboat disposal start to finish, and we cover Larch Way and Lake Stickney on the same trip when it makes sense. The crew comes out, brings the mast down if it's still up, secures the rig, and tows the hull out. Missing paperwork, no title, unclear ownership, a survey that flagged structural issues, a trailer that's rotted out, none of that stops the job. Full details on what happens after the tow are on the sailboat disposal page.
