Survey day forces most of Quincy's boat moves onto a deadline nobody chose. A buyer's financing rides on the report, and the runabout sitting on a trailer on the west side has to reach the yard by Thursday morning, not whenever the owner gets around to towing it. The same rush hits every spring, when a sailboat comes off a lake-place dock and needs to land at a shop before the season opens.
My crew handles the haul out of Quincy with our own truck, loading it and running it door to door on routes that also cover Camp Point and Clayton. Oversize paperwork is ours before the wheels turn. A boat bought without its paperwork sorted can still be moved. Details on the Illinois boat transport page.
