Most calls come from two situations. First, someone's got an old boat in the backyard that the Johnson County landfill already turned away. Fiberglass doesn't break down, and they won't take it. The scrap yard looked at it once, said they'd take the trailer for fifty bucks but the hull was somebody else's problem. Second situation: the boat came with the house, or it's been sitting in a storage lot so long the repair quote costs more than the hull's worth. Either way, you're stuck with a junk boat nobody wants and nowhere legal to dump it.
We handle fiberglass boat disposal from Coralville through University Heights and Iowa City, same trip. We show up, load the whole thing, tow it out, and handle the paperwork start to finish. Missing title, no registration, hull number worn off, doesn't matter. We sort it on the back end. Details on how we process the hull are on the Iowa fiberglass boat disposal page.
