I've pulled sailboats out of Dallas County backyards and storage lots where they've been sitting longer than most people stay in one house. One owner in DeSoto dropped the mast one fall after the rigging started failing, and it never went back up. Another inherited a slip fee that kept climbing year after year, and the old sailboat just became expensive to ignore. The survey came back with soft spots in the deck core, the sale fell through, and now it's taking up space they need. That's the pattern I see.
We handle sailboat disposal start to finish in DeSoto, Glenn Heights, and Ovilla, which means one trip covers most of the work. We come out, assess the rig and what's holding it down, then tow it to the proper facility. If the title paperwork is missing or the survey never closed out the sale, that doesn't stop us. Details on how we handle the whole process are on the Texas sailboat disposal page.
