A boat stuck at a repair yard forty miles up the peninsula does not fix itself, and the owner's own rig was never built to move a hull that size. A sailboat pulled from its slip for a hull survey faces the same problem: the yard that can do the work sits nowhere near Bremerton, and someone still has to get it there and back.
My crew handles the boat hauling with our own truck and trailer rated for the hull, running it door to door, with Poulsbo and Silverdale on the same routes. The oversize paperwork gets pulled on our end before the rig ever leaves. A boat bought without its paperwork sorted can still be moved. Details on the Washington boat transport page.
