The bunks underneath a 28-foot yacht in Olympia were built for a boat two feet shorter, and the axle beneath them is rated for less than the hull actually weighs with fuel and gear aboard. The owner found this out at the top of the ramp, not before. A rig that cannot carry that weight safely should never leave the moorage with it anyway.
My crew runs Olympia jobs with our own truck and trailer, matched to the hull, and we haul it door to door from ramp to driveway. Lacey and Yelm sit on the same route, and oversize paperwork is ours before we hook up. A boat bought without its paperwork sorted can still be moved.
