The surveyor wants the boat out of the water and up at the yard before the sale closes, and that means moving a sailboat that has been tied up in the same spot for years. That covers one steady share of calls out of Iowa City. The other is seasonal, the fall move to a storage lot before the ice sets in, back on the water again each spring.
My crew runs the boat hauling with our own truck and trailer, door to door, the same routes through Coralville and North Liberty. A boat bought without its paperwork sorted can still be moved. Details on the Iowa boat transport page.
