Azalea Park, FL: 21 ft Thompson 21 Off the Bottom in One Morning

Someone had pulled the outdrive off this 21 ft Thompson 21 and never put it back. Without it the stern drain opening sat open, and a hard rain at the public ramp did the rest. By morning only the cabin roof showed above the surface.
Ramp access was the catch. A boat sunk on a busy launch lane blocks everyone, so we had to work fast and keep the lane open for other trailers. We set lift bags at the gunwales, plugged the open transom hole with a foam block, and floated her toward the shallows before the bags took her weight. She rolled onto our trailer without a fuss.
We were off the ramp in about two hours. A repair yard near Orlando took the tow, since the hull was sound and the owner wanted a new drive fitted. The sunken boat removal was routine, and the salvage was the whole boat.

Crews cover Orange County: Orlando, Fairview Shores, Winter Garden, Winter Park, Apopka, and Ocoee. When a boat goes down anywhere in the county, we aim to have a diver and a workboat on site the same week. Send photos and a rough depth, and we will tell you what the recovery takes and where the hull ends up.
