Raising a 27 ft Chris-Craft Commander 27 in Vero Beach, FL

The 27 ft Chris-Craft Commander 27 had a fuel smell that ended every sale attempt. Three different buyers had walked off. She was on a mooring, and after a storm the stern settled until the bow pointed up at the sky.
The obstacle was the position. A boat settled by the stern is already tipped, and a careless lift will roll her. We started with lift bags aft, to take the weight where it was, then added more forward. The crew brought her level in stages. A skiff held her off the mooring ball so the line did not snag.
When she floated, a short tow took her in. The fuel tanks leaked, and the system was past saving, so no salvage. She went to our yard for dismantling and recycling, with the truck routed through Sebastian. About four hours on site. Sunken boat removal like this one is slow, patient work.

Crews cover Indian River County: Florida Ridge, Sebastian, Vero Beach South and West Vero Corridor. When a boat goes under in Vero Beach, photos and a rough depth are usually enough to plan the job, and most recoveries here are scheduled within the same week. We bring the lift bags, the skiff, and the trailer, so the owner does not have to hire three separate outfits. Send the photos and we will tell you what the raise will take.
