Raising a 24 ft Maxum 2400 SCR in Westchester, FL

The hull of the 24 ft Maxum 2400 SCR had chalked white, and there was a soft spot at the transom the owner had watched for a season. Then the stern let go on its mooring. The cabin cruiser settled by the stern with the bow pointing up.
The obstacle was the transom. Pumps would have pulled water through the soft spot faster than they cleared it, so we patched the opening first with a plywood backing and bedded sheet, then ran bags at the gunwales and brought the hull up level. In sunken boat recovery, skipping the patch is how crews lose a boat twice.
We were on site about five hours. After a short tow to a ramp near Coral Terrace, the Maxum went to a repair yard on a trailer. The structure was sound beyond the transom, and a yard could fix that, so we classed it as a salvage job. The owner got a documented handoff and the boat got another life.

Crews cover Miami-Dade County: Brownsville, Coral Terrace, Country Club, and Country Walk. If a boat sinks in any of these towns, we start planning that same week: photos and the depth first, then a plan, then lift bags and a tow booked once the ramp or dock is clear. The raise itself usually wraps up in one working day.
