Baytown, TX: 27 ft Cal Gone in One Morning

A 27 ft Cal 27 showed up in a Baytown yard on cinder blocks, boom long gone and the mast corroded down to the step. The owner had pulled it off the water maybe eight years back, thinking he'd restore it someday. Someday never came, and the fiberglass hull started checking in the sun. The trailer was on stands in a lot tight enough that we couldn't drive straight in from the street. We set up a come-along to shift the boat onto a flatbed we positioned through the side gate, then broke down the trailer in place. The mast came out at our Baytown yard, and the keel followed. What was left of the hull went to the processor in pieces. We cover all of Chambers County: Texas City, Seabrook, Mont Belvieu, Beach City, Anahuac, Winnie. Most pickups happen same week. A lot of our Baytown work comes from people moving boats in and out of storage before hurricane season or after the holidays, so we stay flexible with scheduling and know the routes cold.
