Hauling a skiff out of a San Antonio pickup

This 13 ft Boston Whaler 13 had sat behind a Bexar County property long enough that the foam core soaked through and turned the whole hull into dead weight. It was still strapped to a bent galvanized trailer, the kind where one axle had given up and the frame sat twisted in the dirt. Nobody had launched it in years, and once fiberglass takes on that much water, it stops being a boat and starts being a problem you step around. The bent trailer was the obstacle. We couldn't roll it out normal, so we winched the hull off the frame and loaded it flat on the truck bed instead of towing the rig as a unit. Access off the property ran out toward Converse, narrow enough that we walked the load out slow instead of backing a full trailer around. Took most of a morning with the extra rigging. No title in the drawer, handled per the Texas page rules. From there the hull went straight to cutdown. Waterlogged core like that isn't worth patching, so it got sectioned on site and routed to the processor for recycling instead of sitting as scrap for another decade. Crews cover all of Bexar County: Schertz, Timberwood Park, Cibolo, Converse, Universal City, Live Oak. Most calls get scheduled the same week, and we work plenty of these jobs around seasonal storage swaps, hauling a 13 ft Boston out of a yard or a storage lot before someone's paying another month on space they don't need. If it's on a trailer and reachable by truck, we'll get to it.
