Galveston, TX: 20 ft Galaxy Gone in One Morning

A 20 ft Galaxy 2000 bowrider sat in a Galveston County yard, fiberglass hull still sound but stripped down to bare bones by a previous owner who'd started a restoration and walked away. No trailer, no title, and the boat had settled into the ground enough that moving it required digging out the keel first. The owner called because he was selling the property and the boat had to go. We assessed the hull, confirmed the paperwork per Texas salvage rules, and brought in a rotator and a flatbed. The crew dug out around the keel and used come-alongs to break the suction, then lifted it straight up and onto the bed. The whole operation ran under an hour once we were on site. From there, the Galaxy went to the processor in the Houston area where it was cut down for recycling.
