A pole barn outside Burlington had been hiding a boat nobody in the family could actually explain buying. It surfaced when the property changed hands and the new owner started clearing out decades of accumulated equipment, and the 14 ft Starcraft turned out to be wedged behind a row of stacked feed sacks with barely enough clearance to squeeze past. We had to shift the sacks by hand before the boat would move at all, then walk it out sideways through a doorway built for a tractor, not a trailer. Once it cleared the barn it was a straight load. The barn floor underneath had a boat-shaped clean patch nobody had seen in years.
