Dallas, TX: 20 ft Sunbird Corsair Gone in One Morning

This 20 ft Sunbird Corsair 205 sat behind a house in Collin County long enough that the cover finally gave out under a heavy snow load two winters back and just stayed collapsed on the deck. Once the cover goes, water and leaves get into the cuddy cabin and the fiberglass starts holding moisture it was never built to hold. Nobody got around to dealing with it until the whole thing had settled into the yard like it belonged there. The real problem showed up when we got the trailer hooked up. Both tires were flat, one had been flat long enough to rot into the rim, and there was no way we were rolling that combination down a driveway on bare metal. We swapped in a dolly setup, got the trailer riding again, and walked it out slow past a tight side gate that was never meant for anything this wide. Took most of a morning, mainly because of the tire situation, not the boat itself. No title was in the drawer, so we handled that piece per the Texas paperwork rules. The Sunbird went straight from our lot toward Plano and on to the processor for cutting down. Crews cover all of Collin County: Plano, Garland, Frisco, McKinney, Carrollton, Richardson. Most weeks we've got a truck already routed through Dallas, so a 20 ft Sunbird in Dallas usually gets picked up the same week you call, not weeks later. A lot of our runs line up with folks moving boats in or out of storage before the season changes, and we work those pickups into the same route.
