Boat Wreck Removal in Dover, New Hampshire

A hard nor'easter can turn a fine boat into a phone call overnight. This Chaparral had been moored along a tidal stretch of river when the wind pushed it hard against the seawall for most of a tide cycle, cracking the hull below the rubrail and letting water in faster than the bilge pump could keep up. By morning it had settled against the wall at an angle nobody wants to see their boat sitting at. The owner's insurance company wanted it documented and removed quickly before the next high tide did more damage. We worked the falling tide window to get straps under the hull while there was still enough clearance to move, pumped what we could, and winched it up the seawall access before the water came back in. The adjuster met us there with a camera. The whole recovery ran under two hours start to finish.
