Hauling a cabin cruiser out of a Norwalk salvage job

A 27 ft Chris-Craft Commander 27 cabin cruiser sat in a Norwalk yard for three years. The fiberglass hull was sound, but a fuel smell that no detailing could touch killed every buyer who walked through. The owner had given up. No trailer meant we had to come in heavy. The boat was wedged between a fence and an old oak, with maybe two feet of swing room on either side. We brought a rotator and a hydraulic lift, positioned the rotator first to take the weight, then carefully backed the trailer underneath. The whole operation took most of a morning, but we got her loaded without touching the fence or the tree. Once on the truck, the Chris-Craft went straight to the recycler in Los Angeles County where they'd cut the hull, separate the fiberglass, and haul the scrap. The fuel smell didn't matter anymore.
