The Glastron showed up in the classifieds twice and never sold either time. Both listings mentioned a cracked transom and a motor that needed work, and both times the calls dried up after the first question about price. After the second attempt fizzled, the owner moved it behind the garage and stopped thinking about it, other than mowing around the trailer every couple weeks. What got him to finally call wasn't the boat itself, it was a new fence going in along that property line and the installer needing the area clear. We had four days' notice. The trailer's coupler had rusted shut, so instead of hitching normally we lifted the tongue with a jack and dragged it onto our flatbed by cable. Twenty extra minutes, fence crew showed up on schedule the next morning, and he didn't have to explain the boat to anybody again.
