Hauling a cabin cruiser out of a Joplin storage lot

A 23 ft Chris-Craft Cavalier cabin cruiser sat in a Joplin yard for years, buried under barn dust and neglect. The fiberglass hull had a cracked keel strip running its length, and there was no trailer underneath it. The owner had moved on, the boat hadn't, and by the time we got the call, it was just taking up space. The real problem wasn't the boat's condition. It was access. The yard sat tight between two properties, and the only way out meant angling a heavy lift through a narrow gate and past a fence line that didn't leave much room. We staged our crane on the street side, rigged lifting straps under the keel, and brought her up vertical. Once she cleared the fence, we lowered her onto the flatbed. The whole operation ran under an hour. No title in the drawer, so we handled the paperwork per Missouri rules. The hull went to the processor in Jasper County where the fiberglass and core materials get separated and routed correctly. The owner walked out one morning and the yard was clear. Crews cover all of Jasper County: Carthage, Webb City, Carl Junction, Oronogo, Duquesne, Carterville. We handle pickups same week in most cases, especially during spring and fall when boats move in and out of storage around the Joplin area. A 23-foot Chris-Craft comes off a trailer the same way a 40-footer does, and we've pulled plenty of them from driveways and storage lots across southwest Missouri.
