Gilbert, AZ: 13 ft Boston Whaler Gone in One Morning

A 13 ft Boston Whaler 13 showed up in a Gilbert driveway on a bent galvanized trailer, its foam core waterlogged and the whole rig sitting low and heavy. The owner had moved to Arizona from the coast years back and kept the skiff thinking he'd use it on lakes out here. He never did. When we got the call, the trailer tires were flat and the boat wouldn't roll. The fiberglass hull had absorbed water over time, and moving it meant we couldn't rely on standard lift points. We pulled the boat off the trailer frame by frame, used a heavy-duty dolly to redistribute the weight, and got it loaded onto the truck in most of a morning. The trailer came along separately. No title in the drawer. We handled the paperwork per Arizona rules and routed the hull to the processor. The driveway was clear by early afternoon. Crews cover all of Maricopa County: Phoenix, Mesa, Chandler, Glendale, Scottsdale, Peoria. We handle pickups same week in most cases, and we see a lot of seasonal movement in and out of storage facilities across the valley. People move boats in for the cooler months or pull them out when they're done with them, and we're usually the call that follows. Gilbert sits right in the middle of our regular route, so turnaround is fast.
