Lake Butler, FL: 27 ft Cal 27 Off the Bottom in One Morning

Someone stopped sailing the 27 ft Cal 27 years ago, and it showed in the missing boom and the mast corroded at the step. She sat at a lake dock with the cockpit drains half clogged, and a storm collected enough water that she sank until the deck was awash and the bow just clear.
The obstacle was the mast. Corroded at the base, it could not take side load, so the crew kept it unloaded the whole time. Divers set straps forward and aft, two lift bags filled in tandem to hold her upright, and a drain line cleared the cabin. Once she floated, we tied her off, unstepped the mast carefully, and lowered it to the dock by hand.
The hull was solid and the owner wanted her kept, so this was a true salvage. We handled the tow to the ramp and sent her by road toward Raiford to a repair yard that could do the rig. Three hours on site for the sunken boat recovery.

Crews cover Union County: Raiford. Our normal pace for sunken boats in this area is a same-week job, since fuel and oil spread further the longer a hull sits. A single call plus a few photos is enough to get the job on the schedule, and the crew arrives with everything the lift needs. Small towns with no ramp close by get the same coverage.
