Hauling a runabout out of a Lake Charles pickup

A 16 ft Glastron Swinger with that original orange metal-flake finish had faded to dull grey over years of sitting in a side yard near Sulphur. The single-axle trailer underneath it had bent frame rails, and the whole rig had settled into soft ground where a downspout kept it damp. Owner called because he'd finally had enough of looking at it from his back porch. The bent trailer meant we couldn't tow it straight. We dug out the back end, got the boat level on blocks, and pulled the trailer out from under it first. Once the hull was stable, we winched the Glastron onto our flatbed in sections, cut the fiberglass down to manageable pieces, and routed everything to the processor in Calcasieu Parish. Most of a morning from first arrival to last piece loaded. Crews cover all of Calcasieu Parish: Sulphur, Moss Bluff, Prien, Carlyss, Westlake, Iowa. We move fast around Lake Charles.
