A catamaran looks strange sitting on a trailer in the high desert, and this one had been strange there for years. The owner had bought it out of state during a stint living near the coast, brought it along in a cross-country move for a job in Las Cruces, and then discovered the nearest real sailing water was a couple hours away at best. It went out maybe twice before the trips stopped being worth the drive. The sail rotted first, then the trampoline netting between the hulls gave out completely, leaving just two bare fiberglass hulls baking on a trailer at the side of the house. What finally moved him was running out of patience trying to sell something so specific to a landlocked buyer pool. Getting both hulls secured for a straight haul took some extra strapping since a catamaran doesn't ride like a normal hull, but the trailer handled it fine once we had it dialed in.
