Hauling a cuddy cabin out of a Roswell pickup

A 20 ft Sunbird Corsair 205 sat in a Chaves County driveway for two winters after the cover collapsed under snow. The fiberglass hull had weathered in place, and the trailer underneath had both tires flat. The owner had stopped looking at it years ago and finally called us to make it gone. The real problem wasn't the boat itself. It was the trailer. Two flat tires meant we couldn't roll it out to the access road. We brought in a flatbed, positioned it tight against the driveway, and loaded the whole rig as one unit. That kept the hull stable and the trailer frame from twisting. The job took most of a morning from first contact to the moment we pulled out heading toward Dexter with the load secured. Once we got it to the processor, the Sunbird went through the standard fiberglass cut-down. Usable aluminum fittings came off first, then the hull got sectioned for recycling. Nothing got wasted, and nothing stayed behind in Roswell. Crews cover all of Chaves County: Dexter, Hagerman, Midway, Lake Arthur.
