Nine years is about how long a boat can sit under a torn cover before someone finally decides enough is enough. This 19 ft Bayliner went out on Long Island Sound maybe a dozen times after it was bought, then the outboard started running rough and it got parked next to the garage instead. The trailer tires went flat somewhere along the way and never got aired back up. What slowed us down wasn't the boat, it was the driveway itself, barely wide enough for our truck to angle in without clipping a fence post on one side. We walked it out at an angle, winched it onto our trailer flat tires and all, and swept the gravel clean before we left. The whole thing took under an hour once we got the angle right.
