North Lauderdale, FL: 24 ft Harris FloteBote 24 Off the Bottom in One Morning

The vinyl floor on this 24 ft Harris FloteBote 24 pontoon had bubbled up, and the bimini frame was snapped, signs of a boat that had been left in the weather. It went down at a public boat ramp until only the deck rail and the top of the tubes broke the surface. The owner thought the tubes had split.
The obstacle was learning which tubes were actually damaged. We dove the tubes with a hand light and found the water had come in through a loose fitting, not a crack. We sealed the fitting, set lift bags under both tubes, and raised the deck evenly.
The sunken boat recovery took about three hours. We towed the pontoon up the ramp to a trailer, then hauled it on to Tamarac. Tubes held up, so a repair yard took it for a new floor and frame, and the motor went with it, a clean salvage.

Crews cover Broward County: Davie, Pembroke Pines, Lauderhill, Sunrise, Tamarac, and Fort Lauderdale. When a boat goes under in North Lauderdale or anywhere nearby, we schedule the recovery the same week once we have photos and a rough depth. Time is not on the side of a boat that has gone under, as leaking fuel, oil, and a change in the weather make the job bigger, and a quick call with photos is the fastest way to a crew.
