Palm Bay, FL: 24 ft Maxum 2400 SCR Off the Bottom in One Morning

The 24 ft Maxum 2400 SCR had a hull chalked white and a soft spot at the transom, and she spent a summer tied up on one small bilge unit. When that quit, she settled at the boat ramp until the gunwales sat level with the water.
The obstacle was the ramp itself. It was a public one, busy on weekends, and we had to finish before anybody launched. So we staged at dawn, kept the lane closed with cones, and floated her with lift bags while a generator ran the dewatering from the pavement. The fuel tank was nearly dry, which helped.
She was up and floating in about three hours. We winched her onto a trailer right at the ramp for a ride toward Melbourne. The transom could be glassed and the engine turned over, so this one went to a repair yard instead of the shredder. After a short tow to the lane, it counts as a real salvage and a tidy sunken boat removal.

Crews cover Brevard County: Cocoa, Cocoa Beach, Melbourne, and Merritt Island. When a boat goes under in Palm Bay or any of those towns, we plan the recovery the same week, sort out the depth and access by photo, and get a crew on site as soon as the water and the schedule allow.
