Pharr, TX: 27 ft Catalina Gone in One Morning

A 27 ft Catalina 27 sailboat was sitting on stands in a driveway in Pharr, its standing rigging seized solid and the sails rotted inside their bags. The owner had stopped using it years ago, but moving it felt impossible. The trailer had settled into the dirt, and the whole rig was too heavy to budge without equipment. We brought a crane and a flatbed to the property. The mast came down in sections, and we pulled the keel at our yard once we had it off the trailer. What could've taken all day took most of a morning. The fiberglass hull went straight to the processor in the Valley. No title in the drawer, handled per Texas rules.
