Phoenix, AZ: 24 ft Bayliner Gone in One Morning

This 24 ft Bayliner 2455 Ciera had been parked in a Phoenix driveway long enough for a green algae line to work its way into the gelcoat and the hull to go chalky from years of desert sun. Nobody was pulling it anywhere. The tandem axle trailer under it had rusted to the point where two of the four hubs weren't trustworthy for a tow, even a short one. We got a truck and a dolly setup out there and worked around the bad axle instead of fighting it, jacking the frame and rolling it clear on our own gear rather than trusting the original trailer for the haul. Weight wasn't the problem, that cabin cruiser hull is heavy but manageable. The trailer was the obstacle. Took most of a morning between the rigging and getting it staged for the route out toward Mesa. No title in the drawer, we handled that per the Arizona paperwork rules. From there the hull went straight to the processor for cutdown, and that driveway in Maricopa County finally had one less thing sitting in it. Crews cover all of Maricopa County: Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Scottsdale, Peoria. Most Bayliner pickups in the Phoenix area get scheduled the same week you call, no long wait. A lot of our runs out here are timed around seasonal moves in and out of storage yards, when a boat that never made it back out on the water just needs to go instead of sitting through another summer.
