Raising a 21 ft Thompson 21 in Richmond West, FL

A 21 ft Thompson 21 cuddy cabin with the outdrive removed and never put back. The owner meant to fix it. Years went by.
On the mooring she settled by the stern with the bow pointing up, because the open transom acted like a scoop in every chop. The obstacle was getting to her. The mooring sat a long way off a dock, so we crossed in the work skiff with the gear and set lift bags from the water, nothing on land. Patching the hole first kept the pressure down while she rose.
The raise ran about three hours. We took the tow to the ramp and then went by trailer through Country Club traffic to a repair yard. The hull needed a new drive and some gelcoat, nothing the yard minded. The owner got the boat back in running order, which does not happen with every sunken boat recovery, so we took note of it. It counts as a good salvage.

Crews cover Miami-Dade County: Brownsville, Coral Terrace, Country Club, and Country Walk. If a cuddy cabin is under water in Richmond West, send photos and depth, and a crew can usually be there within the week. A boat sunk on a mooring is reached by skiff, so shore access is seldom a limit. The crew picks the method once it sees the hull and the depth.
