Sunken Sailboat Recovery in Riviera Beach

The mast on this 22 ft Catalina 22 had been down and lashed to the deck for years. It sat on the mooring that way looking more like a project than a boat.
Water got in through the cabin hatch and a worn seal at the cockpit, and she settled by the stern with the bow pointing up. The obstacle was the mast. Lashed along the deck, it moved the weight aft and made her list as soon as she lifted. We cut the lashings, floated the stick off on its own, then set lift bags to bring the hull up level.
We spent about three hours on site. The tow went to a ramp on the way toward Jupiter, then a trailer ride. The hull was solid, as a Catalina 22 usually is, so a small repair yard took her. Mast, boom, and rigging went to salvage. A sunken boat recovery like this does not need to be complicated.

Crews cover Palm Beach County: Delray Beach, Jupiter, The Acreage, Belle Glade, Greenacres, and Palm Beach Gardens. A sailboat that sank in Riviera Beach does not need to sit, and a crew can be on site the same week. We get to a hull that went under at its mooring by skiff, so the shoreline rarely holds us back. Diesel or gasoline in the tank, a busy launch, or a tight slip alters the plan but not the timeline.
