Sunken Cuddy Cabin Recovery in Spring Hill

This 22 ft Larson 220 cuddy cabin lost the fight when rainwater sat above the deck drain. The drain clogged, the deck filled, and the weight took her down.
She went under at a seawall, leaving the cabin roof just above the surface. The obstacle was the drain itself. Until it was cleared, the boat would keep filling and the lift would stall. We cleared the drain by hand from the skiff, sealed the hatch with tape and foam, and floated her with lift bags in about an hour of steady work.
We were on site about three hours. The tow went along the wall and out to a ramp, then a trailer carried her toward Brooksville and a repair yard. The hull was fine, and the cabin was dry after a day, so the Larson lived on. It was a simple salvage, the kind of sunken boat removal we hope for.

Crews cover Hernando County: Brooksville. From Spring Hill, the response is the same week. Pass along the depth and some photos of the cuddy cabin. With a boat pinned to a canal seawall, the lift is done on the spot and the hull floats clear, no crane needed. Once the crew has eyes on the boat and knows the depth, it settles on the method.
