Sunken Pontoon Recovery in Tamarac

Pontoon logs stained at the waterline and rotted furniture gave the 20 ft Sylvan Mirage 20 away before anyone checked the bilge. It sat at a mooring through a wet season. A leak in one log let it fill slowly, and the stern settled with the bow pointing up.
The obstacle was the deck. A pontoon boat does not float like a hull, so we could not just float her and drag her off. First the crew patched the leaking log from a skiff. Then we put lift bags under the cross members, raised both logs evenly, and kept the deck level.
With her up, we ran a short tow to the shore. Salvage was limited, because the furniture and flooring were beyond help, and the frame had cracked at one weld. The sunken boat recovery wrapped up in about four hours. She rode south through Coral Springs to our yard for dismantling and recycling.

Crews cover Broward County: Pembroke Pines, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Deerfield Beach, Coral Springs, and Plantation. When a boat goes under in Tamarac, photos and a rough depth are usually enough to plan the job and most recoveries here are scheduled within the same week. The skiff, the lift bags, and a trailer come with the crew, so one crew handles all of it. Forward the photos you have and we will explain what lifting it takes.
