The Crossings, FL: 26 ft Pearson 26 Off the Bottom in One Morning

Soft deck core ringed each stanchion on the 26 ft Pearson 26, and the cabin smelled of damp foam. The sailboat sat at a public ramp with the gunwales level with the water. A kid on a bike told the owner, who was out of town. We were on the ramp by the next afternoon.
The obstacle was the keel. A sailboat has a lot of lead under her, and lift bags have to fight that weight. We placed them low on the hull and used a second pair near the bow. The crew also freed the mast to cut weight aloft. She rose steady and sat level.
She went to the ramp on a short tow where we loaded her for the drive. The core was wet but the hull and keel were solid. A repair yard in Coral Terrace took the Pearson for refit. About three hours of sunken boat recovery on site, and the salvage was worth it for the owner.

Crews cover Miami-Dade County: Brownsville, Coral Terrace, Country Club, and Country Walk. When a boat goes under in The Crossings, photos and a rough depth are usually enough to plan the job, and most recoveries here are scheduled within the same week. The lift bags, the skiff, and the trailer all ride in with us, and the owner does not need to coordinate anybody else. Email or text us the pictures, and we will tell you what the raise involves.
