Raising a 22 ft Larson 220 in Wildwood, FL

Rainwater had been sitting above the deck drain of this 22 ft Larson 220 since spring. By late summer the cuddy cabin had filled, and the cabin roof was the only thing showing above the lake beside a wooden dock. The owner worried more about the dock than the boat.
That was the obstacle. The old planks could not carry a crew with heavy gear, and a truck had no place to stand. So we ran everything from the water. A skiff carried the gear, we set lift bags under the gunwales, and a diver cut the cabin hatch free so it could drain. The boat came up slowly, and we moved it along the shoreline away from the dock.
Work took about five hours. A short tow brought it to a ramp, and the trailer went by The Villages to our yard. The core was waterlogged and the hull cracked, so there was no salvage to speak of. It was dismantled and recycled, and the dock lost nothing. Sunken boat removal here left the planks as we found them.
