Sunken Sailboat Recovery in Winter Springs

Around the stanchions, the deck core felt like wet cardboard, and the 26 ft Pearson 26 had been taking on water for months. The sailboat finally gave up beside a wooden lake dock, and the cabin roof was the only part above the surface. The owner called after the dock lines went slack.
The obstacle was the route out. The dock sat behind a row of houses on a street too narrow for a flatbed, and getting the boat up a driveway was out. We floated the Pearson with lift bags, then moved it along the shoreline to a public ramp a mile away where the trailer could back down. The tow took about forty minutes on flat water.
All told we spent about five hours. The hull was sound and the keel clean, so a yard near Casselberry took it for a deck rebuild instead of scrap. That makes it a salvage case and a good one. Sunken boat removal here meant no crane and no damage to anyone's lawn.

Crews cover Seminole County: Altamonte Springs, Casselberry, Lake Mary, and Longwood. When a vessel goes down in one of these places, the plan comes together within days: you send pictures and a depth, we send back a plan, and the bags and the tow go on the calendar when access opens. From first strap to loaded trailer, a job usually takes one day.
