Raising a 22 ft Larson 220 in West Melbourne, FL

Our 22 ft Larson 220 had spent two wet summers tied to a lake dock with rainwater sitting above the deck drain. The cuddy cabin eventually settled with its gunwales level with the water.
The obstacle was the lake bottom. Soft silt held the hull like glue, and a straight lift would have torn the transom. So we worked in stages, running a hose line to a trash pump, easing the suction a little at a time, and rocking the bow free with a skiff. A balloon-style lift would have buried itself in that silt, so the suction did the heavy part.
After about five hours the boat floated, and we used a short tow along the shoreline to a gravel pad where our truck could back down. The run to our yard went out past Palm Bay. The deck core was gone, and the cabin had rotted, with no salvage value left, so this one went in for dismantling and recycling. Sunken boat removal here was mostly patience.

Crews cover Brevard County: Palm Bay, Titusville, Merritt Island, Rockledge Melbourne, and Viera West. Once a hull settles on the bottom anywhere here, we set the job up right away: you send pictures and a depth, we send back a plan, and the bags and the tow go on the calendar when access opens. On most calls the raise and the haul-out happen the same day.
