I get calls from people in Lancaster who bought into sailing and then life moved on. One guy had a 26-foot Catalina sitting in dry storage at a local marina, the mast came down one fall and stayed down. The slip fees kept coming. He'd look at the invoice each month and think about calling someone, and then he'd just pay it. Another was an estate,a lake house came with a sailboat still rigged, still registered, and the family had no interest in learning how to sail. The survey that killed the sale sat in a folder on the kitchen table. These aren't people with boat problems. They're people who have a sailboat problem.
We handle sailboat disposal from start to finish in Lancaster and the surrounding area, including runs out to Hocking and Berne when the job calls for it. The crew comes in, brings the rig down if it's still standing, loads the hull onto the trailer or truck, and hauls it out. We take care of the paperwork side too. Missing Ohio title, lien on the registration, no clue where the documentation went, none of that stops the job. More details on how we work through the full disposal are on the sailboat disposal page.
