Every fall, boats in Brookhaven come off their lifts and head to a storage yard before the ground freezes, then reverse the trip each spring once the water opens back up, with no good way to do it without the right equipment. A sailboat knocked around in a storm-damaged slip faces the same seasonal clock, needing dry storage until a yard can take a look at the hull and the rigging.
My crew runs the boat hauling with our own truck and trailer, door to door, every time. Oversize paperwork gets handled on our end before pickup day. A boat bought without its paperwork sorted can still be moved. Details on the Georgia boat transport page.
